William Freimark says:

Thanks for everything. I listened to this show via stream in the woods on a
sunday. Great Day. – Greek Theatre shows next weekend were the sickness.

james white says:

The date is 8/ 26 14 today. I heard they may start playing again this
August, is that true ?

Michael Dean says:

Wow…One of the greatest saxophonist of the past 50 years, and you can’t
even adjust his mic for a sit-in. I don’t understand why they didn’t use
one of the other performers’ mics while Branford’s was being adjusted. What
a complete waste. Can you image if that was done to a jazzer like Miles
Davis, or Freddie Hubbard?

David Vegh says:

looks like they got Branford’s level adjusted somewhere in the middle of
Eyes.

Hugh Jass says:

Bob is looking a lot and playing a lot like Jer Bear in his later days haha

austin humphrey says:

caught the first and last shows of the 4 night run, not sure what night was
my favorite they were both so great! got to go with my dad, brother and a
longtime friend, doesn’t get much better than that!

John Christiano says:

Branford playing “Eyes” with the band is as good as a song gets.
Saw Branford with the GD while we still had Jerry many years ago and it was
unbelievable.

Bosco Morgan says:

I know there is gonna be a million or maybe 2 million people who will not
like this statement but, You have gotta be kidding me. I would hope that
the people who dig this were just to young to see The Grateful Dead and
they have no way to compare the drastic difference frum GD to these cats.
Only my opinion i just hope there is a whole lotta hippy’s who feel the
same way.

MLP DeadShot says:

i was at this show its the closest you can get to the 80’s and 1990. i was
at some of the most classic shows of that era. if people think they will
see power like rich stadium or rfk circa 1986. forget it. the power of
just phil and jerry together will never be duplicated. this is a tame
version just try to enjoy.

Peter Dampf says:

I didn’t attend this show, but it appears to me the 2 set was very good
w/Branford. I did go to the LA Greek shows and they were good as well. To
bad MontyVon slept through the 2nd set, he would of enjoyed it! Thanks
evenstev for posting, very good quality.

fluffhead1000 says:

This show is so amazing! Love it when Branford joins. All four shows were
top notch, wish I was there…sigh. I did see Marsalis play with the
Grateful Dead on NYE 90/91 also for the whole 2nd set. His band opened that
night also. I honestly think that Furthur is a better band than The Dead
were towards the end, and they keep getting better! So sad to hear of the
hiatus, though I wasn’t surprised. Forever grateful to have had them in my
life at all!

MontyVonT says:

Been seeing The Dead since the late 60s and I acknowledge that things
change, and that “Further” is an extension of The Dead and wouldn’t expect
them to stay the same but, this show is just lackluster; I’d have been
curled up under my blanket and sleeping by mid-show!

there will always be people who cant keep their bad rude thoughts too
