I was at the show last night. There weather before the show was bad with lightning and there was a big dust storm.  Because of the bad weather, the concert started 30 minutes late and ended around 11:30 pm. Shakedown street literally got blown away. When they finally opened the gates to the venue, the crowd (~12,000 – capacity at Isleta Amphitheater is 15,000) was backed up at the entrance getting in through security and the turn-styles. So the Dead were playing to a half empty venue for the first 3-4 songs. The seats and grass did finally fill up throughout the night. NOTE: The Dead haven't played New Mexico (Sante Fe) since 1983 — so really no surprise it was a smaller crowd. You rarely hear the Dead on the radio out here. Albuquerque is more of a hard rock and country music town. Lets hope it doesn't take another 35 years for the Dead to return!.Read more Show less
