jerbear- mane says:

LOL ACCORDING TO GLOBAL TRUTH BOB WEIR WAS A CIA AGENT AT THE AGE OF 14 IN
1961. GLOBAL TRUTH YOU NEED TO LOOK UP THE DEFINITIONS OF FACT,
SPECULATION, HYPOTHESIS, AND CONSPIRACY, CAUSE YOU CLEARLY DONT UNDERSTAND
WHAT A FACT TRULY IS, AND YOU DO NOT PROVIDE ANY, YOU PROVIDE REFERENCES TO
VAGUE SOURCES THAT CANNOT BE ACCESSED AND THEY’RE NOT PROPERLY CITED NOR
ANY PAGE NUMBERS LET ALONE SECTION NUMBER OR CHAPTER NUMBERS, YOUR ARGUMENT
IS ONE OF DELUSIONAL RAVINGS FROM A SCHIZOPHRENIC, YOU NEED SERIOUS HELP
THAT DISEASE IS NO JOKE MY FRIEND TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE BECAUSE OF IT,
AND I FOUND HIM, SO PLEASE GET HELP

Markus Rose says:

what i’ve never heard mentioned by anyone is the fact that the dead really
first started to go downhill when they stopped having to do an album every
year or every other year.. That’s when they just got into coasting, and
into dope. Parish here points out that Keith Olsen really “whipped them
into shape” when they recorded Terrapin Station in January 1977.

420Honey says:

BuCK65 sucks cocks.

flagemdown66 says:

Was spring of 77 the tour that went thru Englishtown, New Jersey?

tedspidersmother says:

So, because those stooges couldn’t figure out how to predict what someone
tripping balls would do with any certainty, LSD didn’t fit in their toolbox
in the way they had hoped. ha ha, mind Un Control…Unfortunately, Funding
was soon withdrawn from fledgling independant programs, the early stages of
legitimate, compassionate LSD therapy for the depressed and alcoholic
patients, and they were having benefits from this. Puff and Pass Mates,
One Love

Sean Mccloskey says:

man some people what can i say nuts, fruitcakes, truly certifiable

Jerry Garcia says:

5-17-77 Tuscaloosa Al is amazing.

Loosedloon Welch says:

After listening to Dancin’, if the Cia meant for me to ball up into a ball
of energy and the explode into the disco peak with dog in one hand and beer
in the other…then proceed to dance with faux kungfu moves…the Cia has
won my brain. Now, looking around, the G should refurbish my living room.
Who can keep you livin when Jerry is dead? Who can make you slice your lamp
in half like your hand is of lead? Fukin A-men… CIA mannnnnnnnnnnn.!!!!

IndyDefense says:

Bob Weir is looking like Mark Twain these days.

David Golden says:

I’m glad they finally came clean about the Cornell 1977 mind control
experiment.

Albert Astrella says:

I was at the Boston show the night before Cornell. That was a great show
and my first Terrapin.

matt74moses says:

Wow.Paranoid truther in the comments.Put on ‘yer tin foil hats.

pdrummer davis says:

Weir is a rip!!! Glaid they cleared this whole Barton Hall at Cornell
University on 5/8/77 thing up nice inter view had this tape for years. The
Scarlet / Fire from this show was my fav..

Pat Fritsch says:

LOVE the snippet of UJB that plays at the start of the clip! Does ANYONE
know when it’s from? I assumed it was from Spring ’77, but I’ve listened to
about a half dozen different versions and none exactly match. I HAVE TO
FIND THIS!!! Please help if you have any idea…..

18661873 says:

I thought Bob Weir was going to tell some stories.

jerbear- mane says:

funny how i cant find a reply button to globaltruth…if you’re so smart
and educated and know everything, how come you didnt list any sources or
citations or any credible evidence, oh i guess we should take your word for
it, jagoff

ClarkeWGriswald says:

Dude Global truth, I think your mind may have been to fragile for
psychadelics. Some people can’t handle strong drugs and when they go off
the deep end, they let there whole world be consumed by the freemasons and
the illuminati. You have clearly lost your grip. Please seek professional
help, for the sake of the innocent people around you.

GlobalTubeTruth says:

As time goes by, it becomes more evident that the GD, and their buddies,
are all connected to the CIA. Great musicians, but 100% CIA. No doubt. I
always figured it would be Garcia or Lesh to be the strongest link between
the band and the company, but no, It’s Bob Weir actually. Weir is not only
the strongest CIA link, but he’s also connected by one degree of separation
to the Stanford Research Group, based out of Stanford U. in Palo Alto, Ca.
The connection was Weirs adoptive father.
SRG was connected to the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, Ca., and also
to the Tavistock Institute in Liverpool, England. Which is where the
Beatles and Rolling Stones, as well as other big name British bands got
their MK-Ultra training. The WHO, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc, were all
trained in, or by the same institution.
The main connecting figure between the British & American
MK-Ultra institutions was Aldoux Huxley, who was definitely CIA & MI6
connected.
Huxley was Ken Kesey’s CIA handler, and Kesey recruited the GD in
1965.
Many of the people in the original GD / Haight Ashbury scene are connected
to CIA, either directly, or indirectly. That goes for L.A. too, not just
San Francisco.
The GD were a great band, but also one of the all time greatest hoax’
to ever be pulled over the eyes of the public, and the people are still
completely unaware to this day. Even when they’re told the truth, they
don’t, won’t, or can’t believe it.
Timothy Leary was definitely connected. No doubt about that. Mr.
LSD guru was buddy buddy with top level CIA & MK-Ultra officials. That’s
definitely a fact.
John Barlow was part of Dick Cheney’s political team in Wyoming,
1977. I don’t know if it gets any less hippie than that. Robert Hunter was
a Scientologist in the 60’s. The church of Scientology has been proven to
be connected not only to the CIA, but also to Satanism.
It winds up that LSD is in fact a NAZI drug, and was invented
earlier than reported. Albert Hoffman couldn’t have possibly invented LSD,
and the “bicycle” story is complete bullshit. Everything we think we know
about LSD and it’s history is a complete lie. The same goes for the
Grateful Dead.

lochteme says:

Is Dave L. even old enough to offer opinions on 1977?….just another plug
for a sale…sad.

marie armone says:

a lot of people think they were there….

ToGetToTerrapin says:

Parish started as a roadie, and then in the early 80’s as jerry’s
addictions became more obvious Steve morphed into a kind of
buffer/gatekeeper between Garcia and those outside the band — almost like
a personal assistant of sorts. In other words, if you wanted to see ole
Jer, you had to go thru Parish. Some have called Steve an enabler of sorts,
but I think that’s not really fair, he had orders and merely followed them,
and he is likely responsible for keeping things together as long as they
were all together as a band…

Miles Pittman says:

who is Steve Parish?

Mary Gerdt says:

funny!

Fred Barnett says:

If you cant find a microphone, have a rib.

brookeusa says:

Very funny.

MrShocking68 says:

Yawn…..

coastallp74 says:

Idg you can’t spell, get some ham.

joeseddit says:

And years later the results are in. GD fans are suffering the consequences
of having been duped into having fun and accepting silly ideals based on
kindness as they share memories of happiness and still enjoy the music. But
some folks like GlobalTruth (who found the music boring but went to several
shows?) were fortunate enough to dodge that bullet. Much better off to
still be shaking his head with arms crossed saying, “Nosir, you guys only
think you had fun, but I was and still am way too smart to fall for having
a good time.”

karlvonyoghurt says:

boring.

SergeantMojo says:

Why is it that the comments left on these videos never consist of people
discussing the video they clicked on? Instead the comments are just people
bitching at each other about stupid meaningless bullshit. If you wanna
bitch take the shit elsewhere. It’d be nice to read comments that discuss
the video.

jim danhdee says:

What makes you think that you know what you think you know? A couple of
people here said that Skull & Bones was at Harvard. I thought it was only
at Yale.

I wish some would do just a little bit of reading, remember some of it, and
make fewer assumptions!

Scott MacLeod says:

Just found this recent Grateful Dead interview with Bobby Weir about 1977
and a Dead archivist … WEIR HERE: TELLIN’ TALES OF SPRING ’77 … may add
such to WUaS’s Dead page …

Fetespete says:

WTH is that weird taxidermy dog on the desk next to Bob?

Alex Thompson says:

what would be their motive? it seems to me freemasons and satanists have
motives, but the GD are were just a jam band. like why would they be
zionists? it just doesn’t make sense. garcia told the world to be nice to
everybody.! satanist don’t tell people to love others, they want death and
destruction for everyone in the world while they gain everything, like
whats the plot? get everyone to take LSD and hug ? i just dont get it

carl mccumber says:

there is some merit to what you say but I don’t think you understand the
relationship between the players.the Scottish rite is a noble institution.
the CIA not at all.the skull and bones club at Harvard is not the same or
connected to the freemasons. basicly all players including the dead use
Egyptian symbols.

Paul Scofield says:

Still say of all of May ’77 that the Cornell show, 5-8, is da bomb…the
Loser, Lazy Lightning, Brown-Eyed Women, Row Jimmy, and Dancin’ are stellar
versions, and the second set…all of it is excellent, esp. the transition
jam between Scarlet and Fire… I have yet to hear a better one. The Music
Never Stopped from Boston, 5-7 is blazing hot, and the Sugaree from New
Haven, 5-5, mighty fine (almost as good as 10-17-83). Enjoy, Jerry ps: Even
the Minglewood that opens the show ain’t too shabby.

John Wilis says:

@globaltube truth bob isn’t a member of bohemian grove he performed at the
last one. Also this video was filmed while bohemian grove was going on.
Finally all you people on this page are surprisingly stupid because bob and
Steve are clearly poking fun at all the stupid rumors over the years. No
doubt the dead were associated with people who were in cahoots with the CIA
.

Anchovy Rancher says:

Not to mention that 99% of the crap that’s being passed off as LSD, isn’t.

OngoingMarsThruGuitar says:

You’re a hopeless idiot.

GlobalTubeTruth says:

At his “best”?? Seriously???? C’mon.

scarletb58 says:

Well…if I wasn’t at Barton Hall then I must not have been at the Buffalo
show the next night celebrating my 19th birthday either. LOL Now where’d I
put my tin foil hat? LMAO! (~);-}

gr6891 says:

gotta love this ‘on the couch’ stuff!! great idea….love youtube and the
internet lets us create these great things without having to have a
production studio that costs millions….even though TRI wasn’t that
cheap…but still it wouldn’t be needed to get this kind of thing off the
ground these dayz

Steve Hamburg says:

Would have loved to hear Bobby talk about the music instead of endlessly
listening to the big-mouthed, bully, buffoon Steve Parish, who never played
a note of music in 1977 or in any other year.

SPAC3MANxSPL1FF says:

“im not sure i see what you mean” no shit you dont see, because you arent
on the bus. you are an imposter, some asshole trying to spread propaganda
about the Dead and the hippie counterculture. you cant back up your own
logic. i really do feel sorry for you my friend. I love you, oh but Jesus
loves you the best, and i bid you goodnight, goodnight, goodnight (~);}
